Lisa + Curt

They were married on September 26th at Church of the Red Rocks in Sedona with a reception at the Agave of Sedona.

Lisa's friends from medical school ... I love this photo! They helped Lisa get ready at El Portal, a charming hacienda in Sedona.

It was a spectacular autumn day in Sedona and the view of the red rocks from the church was perfect as Lisa is escorted down the aisle by her father.

Ron photographed Curt as he saw Lisa for the first time.

Sealing their vows ... and I just have to say that it is the very special minister who will move out of the way during the ceremony for this photograph and I appreciate Reverend Dave for doing so!

Ron and I always have a good time photographing weddings together but Lisa and Curt were so fun that we felt really lucky to be there. Curt is goosing his brother as he signs their marriage license.

We drove up Schnebly a bit for some romance ...

... and more.

Lisa's gorgeous flowers were created by Bliss Extraordinary Floral.

Ron took this photo of Lisa's beautiful eyes and the necklace her mother gave her as a memory of her brother.

Their reception at the Agave of Sedona looked spectacular - they really went all out!

Their first dance together was so sweetly choreographed that you couldn't help but smile.

Lisa and Curt's delicious and beautiful cake was designed by Sedona Sweet Arts.

The way they looked at each other all day and night makes you so happy that they found each other!

Erika + David

They were married on September 21st, the autumn equinox, at the stunning L'Auberge de Sedona.

I love how David was escorted by his parents!

Their ceremony was hilltop at L'Auberge where the red rock view is spectacular. Shanti performed their wedding ceremony.

The sand ceremony.

David's wonderful reaction while Erika recited her wedding vows. So much joy ...

David was kind enough to shlep a ladder to his wedding for me to photograph all of their guests. That's Ron's hand (my husband and co-shooter) in the foreground as he inspires the crowd. You'll be happy to know that he isn't in all of their photographs :)

Their beautiful rings.

I absolutely love this photo; it encompasses so much. Erika and David are expecting their first daughter one month after I am expecting my second.

We ventured down to Oak Creek for more romantic portraits. The beautiful flowers were provided by David's aunt Faxon Green.

All of their guests were provided with transportation by Sedona Trolley. This photograph was taken as they arrived to their reception at the Agave of Sedona, with its own spectacular views and cuisine - I can't say enough about their cheese table. Erika and David's cake was created by Sedona Sweet Arts.

I've been really blessed this wedding season to meet and photograph such fabulous people. Before David and Erika even booked me to photograph their wedding, David hooked me up with a day of snowboarding at Snowbowl in Flagstaff. At their wedding, Ron and David realized they lived at one of Colorado's ski resorts at the same time and probably passed each other on the lifts. It's a small and very cool world!

Amy + Jeff

They were married on September 13th at the beautiful Los Abrigados Resort and Spa of Sedona.

Their ceremony was at the Hart Garden and their adorable flower girl and ring bearer arrived early.

Amy and her dad wait for the ceremony to begin. I love this photo because it evokes so much ... the excitement of a wedding about to begin, having the support of your dad, and the threshold between an old life and a new.

Maria Grace of Two Hearts One Life Weddings performed a wonderful ceremony and Oman Ken provided beautiful music.

I love the portraits of Jeff and Amy ... they are so true.

We wandered down to Oak Creek and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of water, trees, and grass.

We brought along Amy's best friend and maid of honor to make Amy laugh. (I can't repeat their jokes but Amy wasn't the only one laughing!)

Amy requested this beautiful portrait of her bouquet and silhouette.

Their beautiful bling.

Sunset dinner at the Hart Garden at Los Abrigados was gorgeous. Amy and Jeff's table settings were amazing.

Some fun details ...

Their very cool napkin ring.

Amy and her bridesmaids ... laughing at Amy's dad's toast explaining the virtues of going from a free spirit to middle class. I think he tried to name all of Amy's ex-boyfriends (that he knew about.)

And Chihuahua ... enjoying the festivities as Jeff danced with his mom.

Congratulations Amy and Jeff!

Lola

It's Lola's grandma's birthday and of course, she requested pictures. And Lola happily obliged. I don't photograph Lola that often so it's still fun for her ... for the first 10 minutes.

She helped herself to an apple from our tree.

And obviously enjoyed it.

I don't actually remember her giving me this heartbreaking pout -- the magic of the camera's motordrive. But I'm glad to have documented this priceless expression.

Happy Birthday Mama!

Kelley + Matt

They were married on August 30th at Los Abrigados Resort & Spa in Sedona.

Kelley's mom and daughter helped her get ready.

Matt helped his brother get ready. While I was taking this picture I was thinking about what they were like as little brothers and if this was a great opportunity for Matt to get payback. Alas ... he was very gentle with his brother's tie.

They had a beautiful creekside ceremony with flowers created by Mt. High Floral in Sedona.

The flower girl was adorable!

Matt looked mesmerized by his bride Kelley.

An emotional moment after the ceremony with the friend who introduced Kelley to Matt.

It was raining while we stole away for some romantic portraits but it looks like a glorious spring day at Oak Creek.

Every bride is worried about the weather on her wedding day ... will it be too hot or too cold ... but I've always heard that if it rains on your wedding day it will bring you good luck.

I love this joyful photo when they cut the delicious and beautiful cake created by Sedona Sweet Arts.

This was one of the most amazing moments I've photographed at any wedding ... there were bubbles on all the guest tables at the reception and during Kelley & Matt's first dance their guests surrounded them with bubbles. It was completely spontaneous and magical!

And their party progressed with a Congo Line that had all the guests dancing and laughing. Congratulations Kelley & Matt!
