Melissa & Brian

They traveled all the way from Indiana to get married yesterday, August 22nd, at Red Rock Crossing in Sedona.

Melissa was escorted by her father. The light was beautiful!

At the beginning of the wedding ceremony, Rev. Carla performed a smudge ceremony. She is wearing a traditional wedding dress from her own wedding.

Everytime Brian cried it made Melissa cry too.

The ring exchange with Cathedral Rock in the background.

They are both huge Cubs fans. I love how Melissa wore flip flops with her beautiful gown!

They teased about pushing each other in the water. They were very cute together!

Jackie + Craig

After more than a decade of dating and traveling and growing together, Jackie + Craig were married on August 4th in Sedona.

The Sedona Trolley delivered their guests to Red Rock Crossing and waited for them after the ceremony to give them a tour of Sedona.

Jackie's parents escorted her to her ceremony. Jackie's smile kept the rain away even though we were in monsoon season.

Their beautiful ceremony was performed by Rev. Andrew Murphy with Cathedral Rock and Oak Creek as their backdrop. One of my favorite parts of their ceremony was at the very beginning when Jackie and Craig gave a flower to each female guest. Jackie took a flower out of her own bouquet and offered it to Craig's mother. It was really touching and spontaneous. The beautiful flowers were created by Mountain High Flowers.

One of my favorite portraits after the ceremony.

We wanted to show off the back of Jackie's dress. It was amazing. Ron thought of this creative ring shot.

Jackie loves the energy of Sedona and Cathedral Rock is a very special vortex. I'll let her explain it to you :) After a really fun hour of portraits with Jackie + Craig, they had a beautiful reception at the Agave catered by the delicious Rosalie's and sweetened with a cake created by Sedona Sweet Arts. Congratulations to one of my favorite couples!

D-65

I just got back from an incredible week in San Diego. I attended a D-65 workshop hosted by photographers Seth Resnick and Jamie Spritzer. It was 30+ intense hours of everything you need to know about shooting, processing, editing, and printing digital. It will be great for my clients because it will not only make me a stronger photographer, but it will also help me process their photographs quicker and with enhanced color and tonality.

I met Seth last year when I interviewed him for Photo District News about the business of digital photography. He generously invited me to attend his workshop and I jumped on the opportunity. It was also nice to be back in San Diego after more than a decade (and a half). I did my undergraduate studies in photography at UC San Diego.

Thanks Seth and Jamie!

Liz + Iz

Of all places, I met Liz at Hog Wild in Cottonwood. We both have daughters the same age. Lucky for us, we live near each other and have found sanctuary in our friendship. Whenever I call Liz, I tell her it's Hog Wild Jenni.

Liz is in her 37th week in this photograph. Her adorable daughter Isabella is almost fifteen months.

Liz is unbelievable. She looks beautiful and moves around like she isn't moments away from having a baby. It's inspiring.

Just in case you are wondering what I was doing at Hog Wild ... I was supporting Ron's carnivorous cravings and eating a veggie sub :
