Chaya

Since having a baby nine months ago, I've discovered a new passion for photographing children.

Chaya is about ten months old and has the most beautiful eyes!

I love this photograph of Coreena with Chaya. I learn a lot from Coreena about thoughtful mothering.

I Married Well ...

I am so lucky. My husband's family is so good to me. This is a note I just received from my mother-in-law.

"Hi Jen, I just looked at your Blog and am always in awe at how beautiful your photographs are! The new pictures and letters are really beautiful. You've also done a great job teaching Ron. The picture on the Blog he took at the wedding of the bouquet with the ring is quite nice. Love ya, Mama"

And this is a note I received from Ron's cousin after I photographed his kids a few weeks ago in Dallas.

"Jenni, they are breathtaking. Thank you. Everything about them is so beautifully structured. I can take credit for the genetics of the subjects (well, half) and the fact that they brush their hair daily (well, one). You, however, chose your settings, framing and focal length so beautifully...wow. And you captured so many great expressions. I looked at the shots for the first time in Slideshow mode and the presentation only added to the beauty of the photos. (Not to mention the oh-so-subtle recommendations implied...Maybe we should consider color?) I know I’m getting a little over-the-top gushy, but so what. I’m in advertising; we take lots of great pictures. The presentation is what sells. I guess I’ll show them to the rest of the family now. Awesome. Craig"

"Thank You" for making my day

I just received this wonderful note from Joe and Vicki and it totally made my day.

"I am finally home and finally (whew !) had a chance to look at the photos you took of the wedding! Thank you so very much - they are spectacular !!! I had so much fun looking through them and excitedly calling everyone to share your web address so they could see how beautiful Sedona is and enjoy your artistic eye as much as we have !!! I have heard things like . . . stunning, like a fairy tale, very romantic, beautiful, looks like something out of the movies (there's that Hollywood thing !), etc.. We want to extend our appreciation for your amazing work and for taking this on rather "last minute" as it were. We so enjoyed meeting and working with you and your husband - thank you for your great sense of humor, for your professionalism, for capturing our special day and the many unforgettable moments we will always treasure and thank you both - just for the "fun" of it! We had a great time and hope you did as well !! You are awesome - thanks again !!"

Easter Sunday

Kimberly and Sean flew in from Florida for their wedding. It was exactly a year ago that Sean had proposed to Kimberly in Sedona and they were back for a Red Rock Crossing wedding. Their guests were Kimberly's son Joshua and their friends from Clarkdale.

Ron took this beautiful picture during the ceremony for the ring exchange.

Kimberly and Sean posed for portraits at sunset in front of Cathedral Rock.

I love this photograph of their rings.

Rain had been predicted and it was a bit windy, but we were all so happy that the weather didn't interfere with their wedding as you can see by the clear blue sky.

Randi + Shawn

This was a beautiful April 6th wedding with two wonderful families, one from Texas and the other from Arizona.

Randi looked glamorous. It was hard to put the camera down (not that I needed to)!

Both Randi + Shawn are working on advanced degrees at universities and spent the spring holiday getting married at Tlaquepaque.

A portrait of Randi inside the chapel.

Spring in Dallas

These cute photos of Lola were taken at the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. What a great place. Next time we are in Dallas we are definitely going to picnic there. And then we are going to pull over to the side of the tollway like real Texans and make some portraits in the BlueBonnets.
